Smoothie bowl with a dash of tequila?
If you need to know anything about me, it’s that I am a huge fan of the wonderful concoction that is the margarita. It is my absolute drink of choice, no matter what. Even though a plain margarita pleases me just fine, switching it up with different flavors never disappoints.
I’ve had strawberry margaritas, cranberry margaritas, you name it. But when I was looking intently into my smoothie bowl one morning, I thought to myself why have I never made an açai margarita? When I realized the açai packets from Trader Joe’s are sugar-free, I was even more excited. Guilt-free cocktails = major win. If you’re a fan of açai bowls as breakfast or a midday treat, you’ll love it even more as a cocktail. Let’s get started…
What you’ll need (for 2 servings):
- 3 ounces of tequila of choice (I’m using Jose Cuervo Silver)
- 2 frozen unsweetened açai packets (or sweetened, if you don’t mind the sugar)
- 1 lime, freshly squeezed
- 2 ounces of sugar-free triple sec
- Ice to achieve desired texture
Directions:
- Throw it in a blender & blend ’til it’s just right!
I know you guys know how to blend up a cocktail so I spared you the details.

There you have it: an essentially sugar-free, (apart from the measly amount of sugar in a fresh lime) guilt-free party in a cup. If you’re like me and love a margarita no matter what, or just are in store for a new cocktail, pick up açai packets for future smoothie bowls and margaritas! Happy Sunday & bottoms up!

I need to try this! 😍
